Annie Coombs
All the work is hand made in my Cardigan workshop from Sterling and Fine Silver sheet and wire.
I fabricate my jewellery using traditional metalworking techniques such as piercing, forming, forging and soldering. I often add milled or acid etched texture or contrasting metal and use patination to highlight detail.
Some complex pieces may feature a cast element, these elements I cast myself from my hand carved master.
I draw inspiration from poems, stories and journeys through the imagination which can lead to quirky figurative pieces which I produce in limited editions. I sometimes use a text alongside a piece to provide humour or explanation about the design.
