Origin Dyfed is a co-operative of artists and craft makers who live in the Counties of Camarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, or Ceredigion. The co-operative has been in existence for over 22 years as a result of the hard work and commitment of the directors and members. Due to a need for more space the co-operative have recently re-located their gallery to Origin, 23, King Street, Carmarthen.

 

The downstairs gallery is full but it is anticipated that when we open the upstairs gallery (March 2012) there will be limited availability for additional makers whose work will compliment our range of crafts. We currently have sufficient makers and artists in the majority of areas including representational art and jewellery. If you think however you have hand produced quality work that will add to our existing range then you may like to consider making application to the gallery manager.

 

Members must:

Be highly motivated

Live in one of the three counties identified above.

Be prepared to make a personal commitment to running the gallery including being able to steward as required for a minimum of 2 days a month and assist in work projects maintaining the premises.

Pay a membership fee (currently £480/annum paid on a monthly basis).

Pay the appropriate rate of commission on sale of goods (currently15%)

Agree to join for a minimum period of 12months
